Roots, Shoots and Leaves - a garden walk in the City Of London
At first glance it may seem that there are few green spaces in the city so this walk will show you just how many quiet gardens exist in the Square Mile. We will discover amongst others - the site of an ancient Roman bath on which a garden was created singlehandedly after WW2, a secluded small square once a place where kings and clerics met together, a wild garden on a Roman site, an apothecaries garden and even visit some private rooftop gardens. Come and enjoy this green adventure and explore some unexpected places in this urban landscape.
