Beyond finance - the City of London's other markets
On this walk we will be visiting sites of the ancient markets in the City of London, some of which are still in existence today. We will discover the locations of the old food markets and the specialised markets or exchanges dealing in a wide variety of commodities from corn to rabbit fur.
The walk will take place on the eastern side of the city and will include a visit to the old Billingsgate fish market and Leadenhall market, both built by the 19th Century architect Sir Horace Jones.
